Whether due to the retirement of a long-standing board member, or a key staff member’s decision to move on, at some point, your organization is going to face a major leadership change. Your preparation for that change can shift a leadership transition from an catastrophic problem to an exciting opportunity.

We will examine a case study of an organization that recently managed a leadership change, and guide you through some simple activities to help organize your thoughts and plans. Fairs & Markets: Here are some events in Hamilton County that allow Kid Entrepreneurs to sell products:

• Noblesville Creates Fair: Our annual festival the day before Father’s Day offers affordable opportunities for artists.
• Noblesville Famers Market: There are special Kid Days at the market with great opportunities just for you.
• Fishers Farmers Market: Kid Entrepreneurs are important to the Fishers Farmers Market.

Kidpreneurs.org, connected to Adam and Mathew Toren’s Kidpreneurs: Young Entrepreneurs with Big Ideas contains resources for business ideas, free guides and blog posts for aspiring young artists.

Artwork Archive is an excellent resource for new business owners. Their site includes free guides, articles and video tutorials for people of all ages.
