Noblesville Creates invites you to hone your drawing skills and develop new ones! This year, we are developing new classes, as well as offering old favorites! Our popular “Monday Night Drawing Class” for adult students (age 15+) is a great start for all skill levels.
We are excited to announce a new Weekly Drawing Dlass for ages 12 and Above starting March 1st!
Instructor: Fer
Description: This course is designed to teach the fundamental skills of analytical drawing. Students will learn perspective to accurately define objects in space, and line values to define the volume of an object before incorporating shading techniques; then the students will learn basic shadowing, understanding how the light behaves based on direct light, reflection, distance from the object, and shadow projection. The course will focus on teaching students how to draw from life references and develop the skills to draw from memory without relying on direct references.

Artist Bio: My name is Fer, Venezuelan-born and mentored by renowned Caracas art teacher Ina Bainova, back in the 90’s, my artistic journey reflects a deep admiration for classical painters while incorporating elements of modern movements. I firmly believe that a painting without deeper meaning is mere decoration, I have been steering away from that, and applying the principle of painting with a deeper meaning in both my commissioned and personal works.
I’ve found profound satisfaction in commissioned portraits, pet paintings, and architectural pieces; in the past 2 years, I have painted over 12 commissioned works, plus a handful of personal projects. Each commission has been a rewarding experience, and infused with its own unique “soul.” Simultaneously, I’ve created and sold some personal works, driven by my own artistic vision to explore the depths of human nature and emotion.
After a partial hiatus, I returned to painting on a daily basis in 2020 as a form of therapy to cope with what seemed like a world crumbling around us. I then realized that painting was the purest form of therapy, a sort of “meditation,” if you will. I am eager to share this important tool with anyone interested, as it can greatly benefit one’s mental health and inner peace.
