Total Solar Eclipse Overview

2024 will bring a once-in-a-generation celestial event to Hamilton County. The Total Solar Eclipse will take place on April 8th, 2024 at approximately 3:06 pm.

Our arts community is celebrating this cosmic event in several ways this year and we want you to celebrate with us! Look below for details on events, as well as our exclusive Eclipse Artwork!

2024 Event Details

April 5th, 5-9 p.m. First Friday Eclipse Weekend Kickoff

Visit Noblesville from 4-9 pm tonight and many businesses and organizations around town will have eclipse-themed specials, including self stations, activities, live music and more.

Hours vary by location.

Be sure to stop by Noblesville Creates (4-9 pm) to meet renown comic book artist Stuart Sayger and check out our latest exhibits!  Then, visit HCAA (6-8 pm) to see their Celestial Noblesville Exhibit, and take a trip around the courthouse square and surrounding blocks to see our partners Caravan Classes, Kiln Creations, NobleMade, and more!

Noblesville Creates Artclipse Festival:

We’re coordinating a festival on Noblesville’s courthouse square to celebrate the eclipse, share some incredible artwork by our local artists, and create art together with community members.

This event will include:

April 8th, 3:06 p.m. - THE TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE!

There are several official viewing sites for the Eclipse in Hamilton County. We’ll have booths set up in various locations, or you can drop by our campus to shop and bask in the penumbra!

Find our booth at Ruoff Music Center.

Also, stop by HCAA 12-3 pm to Watch the Eclipse with Walt and other members of HCAA.

Drop in at NobleMade, which will be open for special Eclipse hours!

Eclipse Tea Towels

These 100% cotton tea towels are 20 inches square when unfolded and fold to display a 7-inch-wide image.

These towels are $25 each or buy both for $35. Proceeds are split between the artist and Noblesville Creates and support future arts programming!

We have two designs, with artwork by local artists:

  • ‘Nature’s Anomaly,’ featuring hand-drawn calligraphy by Devonna Miltenburger
  • ‘Space in Motion,’ featuring a painting by Kathy Wessel
Eclipse Tumblers

Our 22-oz tumblers feature 8 different eclipse-inspired images by local artists arranged on a blue background and come with a metal straw and a clear plastic spill-resistant lid.

Tumblers will cost $32 each. Proceeds support Noblesville Creates future programming.

Eclipse Temporary Tattoos

These temporary tattoos feature artwork by local artists and go on with just a little bit of water! Celebrate the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse in style by sporting one or all of these tattoos!
