Unplug, Create and Shop Local at Noblesville Creates
Find handcrafted gifts, DIY with the kids and more in December in hipstoric downtown Noblesville
NOBLESVILLE, IND.— Starting Nov. 27 and continuing through December, Noblesville Creates is packed with arts opportunities for holiday shoppers, children, crafty DIY’ers, comic book fans and more in hipstoric downtown Noblesville. Unplug and create with us!
GIFTED III: Nov. 27-Dec. 26
For the third year in a row, Noblesville Creates will transform the Judge Stone House gallery into a unique holiday boutique where shoppers can purchase handcrafted gifts. In addition to paintings, Gifted will feature ceramics, furniture, paper arts, stained glass, sculptures, textiles and woodworking. This exhibit will celebrate the gifted artists in our community and the fine art of gift giving! Shop local and support local artists during this holiday season. Join us for the opening reception on Friday, Dec. 4, 6-9 p.m. Gifted is open every Wednesday-Friday, noon-5 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

‘Tis the season to give the gift of art! Visit Noblesville Creates during our December First Friday for our third annual Gifted exhibit. Our campus will sparkle with the spirit of the season, and we’ll have a warm cup of holiday cheer waiting for you. Plus, we’ll have activities that allow you to create gifts yourself. Wine pro Bryan Glover from Mr. G’s Liquor will be here with samples of wine and other celebratory beverages. Cash bar is available, with proceeds supporting Noblesville Creates’ programs.
Santa’s Workshop: Cookies & Canvas, Dec. 5, 1-5 p.m.
What’s a family holiday season without cookies, milk and Santa? Bring your kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews to spend some quality time with jolly Old Saint Nick and hear fun holiday stories. Get artsy with your Christmas celebration by participating in the kid’s version of a “wine and canvas” event: Cookies and Canvas. Cookies and Canvas will feature three classes, each an hour-long: Teen Artists (ages 11-15), Young Artists (ages 6-10), and Little Artists (ages 5 and under; parents must sign up and accompany kids 5 and under). This family holiday event is sure to be magical for artists of all ages — enroll your young, aspiring artists today!
Family Block-Printing Party, Dec. 10, 6-9 p.m.
This December, Noblesville Creates will host a first-ever family-focused Project Party. Adults can join their little ones and work together to create their own hand-made prints using block-printing techniques. Or sign up solo and create artwork to give to friends and family members. Led by local artist and recent Herron School of Art graduate Kat Ho, this class will teach participants about block printing and offer an opportunity to test out different printmaking tools using organic materials. The artist will guide participants through designing their imagery and exploring form, composition and color mixing before safely carving (kid-friendly) their blocks on materials such as potatoes. This class is sure to engage even the littlest ones! Special $40 pricing for pairs, such as couples or a parent-child duo. Perfect for creating one-of-a-kind artwork to give as holiday gifts!
Comic Book Collector’s Christmas Party, Dec. 11, 7-11 p.m.
You are invited to a Comic Book Collector’s Christmas Party, which Sayger is throwing as part of his Artist Showcase. Geek out over comic books in every way possible! This awesome free event will include:
- The unveiling of the Krampas comic Sayger is currently drawing
- Comic Book Secret Santa: Bring one, two or three individually bagged comic books to give away in this gift exchange and you’ll get an equal number in return! Just package each comic in a standard comic bag with two backer boards (one in front and one in back) so that it stays secret — no need for fancy wrapping!
- A display of vintage comic-related toys and products
- Games and activities, including a giant Christmas comic for everyone to add to
- Presentations about the history of comics (We promise, they’ll be fun and fascinating!)
- A cash bar
- PLUS… a FREE exclusive Stuart Sayger signed print for the first 200 attendees!
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party & Shopping Spree AND NHS National Art Honor Society’s Soup Fundraiser, Dec. 12, 6-9 p.m., FREE ENTRY
It’s a big two-in-one celebration! First, sip soup to help the National Art Honor Society at Noblesville High School raise money for its organization! Enjoy a cup ($7) or bowl ($14) of soup and keep your NAHS-made ceramic bowl/cup. Stay for our Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. Put on your ugliest Christmas sweater and seek out holiday gifts while enjoying samples of local beers from Barley Island Brewing Co., wine from Mr. G’s Liquor and other holiday beverages. There will be prizes!
