NOBLESVILLE, IND.— Noblesville Creates is giving art lovers what they really love during our most unconventional Valentine’s Day events. Plus, check out February exhibits, spring break camp and more in hipstoric downtown Noblesville. Unplug and create with us!
VALENTINE’S DAY FOR ALL
Valentine’s Day at Noblesville Creates is no typical “Hallmark holiday.” Art-infused events and activities for singles, couples, children and groups go way beyond candy hearts and red roses during Valentine’s Day for All.
Valentine’s Date Night, Feb. 12 and 13, 6-9 p.m.
Make this the most creative stop on your Valentine’s Day weekend. Enjoy a range of artist-led art projects for couples, live performances, snacks, and our wine and beer bar. The Hoosier Heart-Land art exhibit and sale will also be open. Stop by before or after your romantic downtown Noblesville plans.
Six artists will lead art activity stations for couples to work on creative projects together and create artwork to take home. One artist-led activity: $10 (for two people). Family Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1-5 P.M.
There’s no sweeter way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with your family! Make this year’s holiday an artsy one. Bring the kiddos to Noblesville Creates for children’s activities, crafts ($5 each) and sweet treats. Admission is free throughout the day. Come and go as you please!
February First Friday, Feb. 5, 6-9 p.m.
First Fridays at Noblesville Creates are like the superfoods of local culture — packed with essential arts nutrients and stuff to make you happy inside and out. On Feb. 5, 6-9 p.m., visitors will see what our artists love about Indiana in our Hoosier Heart-Land exhibit as they mingle with local artists, and enjoy live music by local musicians. They can also try their hand at an art activity inspired by the exhibit and Valentine’s Day. Beer and wine, among other refreshments, offer people a chance to unwind on a Friday night, with proceeds supporting Noblesville Creates’ programs. Registration is not required. Just come on out and enjoy.
Hoosier Heart-Land, Feb. 5-27
Noblesville Creates’ February exhibit puts a sense-of-place spin on its annual Love, Lust and Poetry exhibition. In honor of Indiana’s Bicentennial, this year’s “Valentine’s” exhibit features works that depict what artists love about the Hoosier state. The Hoosier Heart-Land exhibit is meant to serve as a visual love letter to our state, commemorating the people, places and things that make Indiana what it is today.
Noblesville Creates’ goal is to create an exhibit that can lift up your spirits on even the coldest, dreariest of February days and encourage you to marvel at what a complex, vibrant place Indiana has become over the past 200 years. Hoosier Heart-Land will be open every Wednesday-Friday, noon-5 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Adventures In Art Spring Break Camp, March 28-April 1, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Noblesville High School
We want kids to get their hands dirty and keep thinking creatively over spring break. Noblesville Creates presents its inaugural spring break camp March 28-April 1, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., as part of our Adventures in Art Camp series.
In conjunction with Noblesville High School, Noblesville Creates invites kids ages 8-12 to explore the arts in a variety of mediums working individually and collaboratively. This weeklong “art lab experiment” will help kids develop and hone their artistic skills by exploring a variety of mediums in the visual arts.
Campers will create original artwork in both 2-D and 3-D mediums, ranging from painting to sculpture and everything in-between. Kids will also learn about art history, aesthetics, art production, and art criticism through these projects. At the end of the week, they will take home individual projects including a sketchbook documenting their growth — and adventures — throughout the week. Parents will be invited to a casual Friday art show on April 1.

Showcase Artist Michael Jack, Feb. 1-29
Lose yourself in the rich colors and details of artist Michael Jack’s photographs Feb 1-29, when we will fill the walls of the Stephenson House with his works. The public is invited to an opening reception on Saturday, Feb. 20, 5-8 p.m.
