In this workshop, students will first study how to start painting using a quote from Delacroix on "sacrifice in art". Then, we will look at a master work of a still-life, discussing what makes the painting work with regard to composition. Then, students will be given individualized instruction as we paint a still-life for a couple of hours. Time-permitting, the class will close with a briefly sharing our work together. All painting levels and abilities are welcome as it will allow us to open ourselves to learning from each with the experiences we each bring!
