Illustrations historically have been a visual method for humankind to expand on stories and history. Drawn and painted images can act as record, such as the cave paintings of Lascaux created around 15,000 B.C.E. In contemporary times, graphics and illustrations take the form of graphic novels, advertisements, and more.
Artists of all mediums have been welcomed to showcase work that is illustrative, artistically graphic, or a mix of both as Noblesville Creates gears up for the annual Comic Book in a Day challenge.
Visit the full "Graphic & Illustration" exhibit in the the Judge Stone House Gallery during open hours between January 3-25, or during the First Friday open house reception on January 3rd, from 6-9 p.m. The Judge Stone House is part of the Noblesville Creates campus located at 107 S. 8th Street in Noblesville. Campus is open to the public Wednesday through Friday, 12-5 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
