Relief Sculpture 2-Day Workshop
All skill levels welcome! No previous experience necessary.
Learn relief sculpture from Jacob Dobson with 20 years of instructing experience! Demonstrations performed will be accompanied with his 10 illustrated steps for modeling.
We will be sculpting with ceramic clay on a 9x12 board while working from a printed 8.5x11 reference photo. If you desire to sculpt a subject of your choice, you may bring your own 8.5x11 reference photo printed off to scale. Make sure it is not too ambitious for this time frame based on your ability level. Those with experience may do a full figure and those with no experience can do a bird or another simple animal. The instructor will also bring a selection of subjects to choose from. Class size is limited, so register today! Feel free to share with interested friends! Teenagers to adult are welcome.
Instructor will provide:
- modeling tools
- clay
- wood base
- easel (unless you want to bring your own)
