Noblesville Creates’ Partner, the Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA), proudly announces upcoming call-outs and exhibits:
Our Creative Community is an open call-out for artists in the Hamilton County area to exhibit work that will be seen by the general public in the South Corridor of Noblesville’s City Hall. The annual invitation is extended to the community by the HCAA to support and promote the talent of our local artists. Entrants are asked to fill out an application available on-line (www.hcaa-in.org), but there is no fee for this opportunity. Application deadline is: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 26.
HCAA’s 67th Annual Fall Exhibit and Sale
Oct. 13 -24, Carmel Public Library
This is the 67th annual premier exhibit of the Hamilton County Artists’ Association, held to give the public an opportunity to view and purchase work from the group’s Juried artists. Included in the exhibit are 2D, 3D, and photography mediums, including paintings, wood furniture and vessels, photography, weavings, and textile creations. The public is cordially invited to enjoy an afternoon of light refreshments, painting demonstrations, and music during the Sunday afternoon reception on October 15 from 2-4 pm.
All work included in the exhibit will be for sale.
Open Lens Exhibit/Competition
Nov. 3 – Dec. 1
The Birdie Gallery
This is the second year the HCAA has hosted the Open Lens Exhibit, which is a judged event with prizes awarded in several categories. It is open to all photographers in Hamilton County and surrounding regions. Entrants are asked to fill out an application available on-line (www.hcaa-in.org). The public is invited to visit this exhibit during the month of November at The Birdie Gallery and to enjoy the Opening Reception on First Friday, November 3 from 6-9 pm and the Awards Reception on Friday, December 1 from 6-8:30 pm.
Interested in becoming a JURIED artist in the HCAA?
The Hamilton County Artists’ Association (HCAA) is the only JURIED arts organization in our area! The HCAA has been around since 1950, and we are committed to continuing some of the great traditions of the past AND embracing exciting art opportunities in the future! We welcome a few select artists every year, and our 2018 callout for Jury Applicants is now available to download, fill out, and send in (www.hcaa-in.org).
Relevant dates are:
Application and $40 nonrefundable fee due no later than November 18th.
Deliver three works of art to the HCAA on Saturday, December 2, 2017, from 9 – 11:30 am.
Voting is by the full membership between December 12, 2017 and December 13, 2017. Email notification of results. Pickup date for all applicants is Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 9 – 11:30 am.
