Emergency Art Kits Available for Artists of All Ages!

Emergency Art Kits Available for Artists of All Ages!

With the generous support of the Hamilton County Community Foundation, The Richard M. Shulze Family Foundation, and 100 Women Who Care Hamilton County, Noblesville Creates has been able to assemble sets of art supplies for adults, teens and children who cannot currently afford or access art supplies. Noblesville Creates has worked with Preston Arts Center, a family-owned arts store based in Jeffersonville, Indiana and Louisville Kentucky, to organize these supplies.

THE KITS:

Kits for adults and teens come in different varieties organized by medium. We have a drawing kit, an illustration kit, a watercolor kit, a soft pastel kit, and an oil pastel kit. Each kit includes paper and the other tools you need to make the most of your artistic skills!

Kits for kids and tweens include an array of media and a sketch pad. Drawing pencils, colored pencils, markers, watercolor paints, and other items will be included in each kit – exact brands and styles will vary based on availability, but all the basics will be there!

Noblesville Creates also has artistic ‘care packages’ that can be sent to anyone in isolation who needs a creative challenge or a little pick-me-up. These are small art projects that can fit in a mailing envelope, such as origami projects, a pinwheel kit, and coloring cards.

Noblesville Creates is working with local service organizations and schools to get emergency supply kits distributed through our community. Prevail, the Shepherd Center, and Janus have all distributed art kits, projects and supplies to their clients, and Nickel Plate is working with elementary teachers and Trustee’s offices to distribute the rest of the materials. In all, over 200 individuals will receive art supplies through this project.

HOW TO GET A KIT:

If you know someone who is in need of art supplies or an art project, please contact Aili at amcgill@noblesvillecreates.org.

If you would like to order a kit for someone you love, click on one of the links below. You also can purchase a kit to donate to a needy individual or family. Your payment will support Noblesville Creates’ efforts to ensure that #theartgoeson and that everyone in our community has the tools they need to explore their creative potential!

ATTENTION PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS:

Noblesville Creates is also in the process of coordinating a mass order for professional artists who don’t want to go out to shop for art supplies. We will place the order with Preston Arts Center and then package and deliver the supplies. Artists who want to participate in this ordering process can contact Koda at kwitsken@noblesvillecreates.org.
