This course is designed to teach the fundamental skills of analytical drawing. Students will learn perspective to accurately define objects in space, and line values to define the volume of an object before incorporating shading techniques; then the students will learn basic shadowing, understanding how the light behaves based on direct light, reflection, distance from the object, and shadow projection. The course will focus on teaching students how to draw from life references and develop the skills to draw from memory without relying on direct references.
