As America marks 250 years of independence, Glorious 4th invites you to explore the many ways people have understood freedom across our nation’s history. Throughout the weekend, you’ll step into stories that show that independence is not a simple idea, and that history has demonstrated how America has been celebrated, challenged, and reimagined.
Join the residents of Prairietown as they mark the 60th anniversary of American independence with joy and pride. Dissenting Voices remind us that even in moments of celebration, there is always room to grow and reflect on what freedom means. And experience powerful perspectives in 1816 Lenape Indian Camp, where we honor Indigenous culture, history, and enduring connections to this land.
