Get ready for some wintertime fun on Saturday, December 20, for the 5th annual Glühwein Gallop 5k Run/Walk! The route will begin and end at Carmel Christkindlmarkt, and the race starts at 9:00am. Race packet pickup will be December 19th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Runners Forum in Carmel (620 Station Drive). Packets will also be available for collection from the Winter Pavilion starting at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the race.
The Glühwein Gallop draws its name from the German word Glühwein (pronounced 'glue vine'), which translates to "glowing wine" in English. Glühwein is a delicious mulled wine that is served warm in different flavors. Glühwein and its special mugs are one of the biggest attractions each year at the Market.
Awards will be offered for overall winner and age-groups. Additionally, there will be a costume contest for participants - and the wackier the costume, the better! This event is open to all ages and abilities. Get registered today!
