Guided Nature Walks: Civic Love

Guided Nature Walks: Civic Love

Participants will be introduced to and invited to utilize the “36 Questions for Civic Love” from the National Public Housing Museum. In collaboration with Civic Season programming, this stroll encourages us all to strengthen our community relationships.

Audience: We welcome anyone who enjoys time outside and meeting new people. All ages are welcome!

Access Considerations: Meet your guide for this program near the tram turnaround behind the Museum Experience Center. On this one-hour out-and-back stroll, we will travel between 0.75 and 1 miles, depending on the pace of our group. From the Museum Experience Center, we will stroll down a 0.10-mile paved hill, then join the partly shaded, paved, flat, 10-foot-wide Prairie Trail. Benches are available along the route at the bottom of the hill and at 0.2 miles. At the conclusion of the program, participants will have the option to continue along the Prairie Trail on their own or follow the same route back to the Museum Experience Center with the guide. This is a rain-or-shine program; please dress accordingly and bring comfort items as needed (e.g., sunscreen, hat, water). Restrooms are available in the Museum Experience Center and include accessible stalls. Please reach out to our Nature Engagement Specialist at morton@connerprairie.org if you would like to share or discuss ways we can support your access needs for this program.

This Guided Nature Walk is free with general admission
