Intro to Leaded Stained Glass
Location: Maker Playground @ Fishers Parks (8100 E. 106th Street, Fishers)
Ages: 16+
Cost: $195/person
*Prerequisite: Completion of "Stained Glass for Beginners" or basic experience with glass cutting, copper foil, soldering
In this introductory class, you will work along with the instructor to build a small, leaded glass panel, learning the process along the way. You will be able to select art glass of your choice for your project, but everyone in class will be using the same design to build along with the instructor. We will cover lead stretching, cutting, and forming, as well as soldering of lead joints and framing with lead. To finish, the instructor will demonstrate the cementing and cleaning process before sending you home with your project and a batch of stained glass cement to complete at home. Due to the curing time needed for the cement, it is not possible to complete that activity during class. All materials will be provided by the instructor.
