Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio

Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival – We will be vendors at the 2023 Hoosier Hills Fiber Festival.  There will be lots of fiber fun, and parking and admission are free! Come join us there! – June 2nd – starts at 4pm.

Hyperion Players

“Call Me Sister” – This original play was written by Hyperion’s Artistic Director, Ian Hauer.  Henry VIII is dead, and his daughters each have a claim to the throne. But the court is filled with adversaries, schemers, and would-be husbands, all intent on denying them the succession. Besides, England can only have one monarch, and neither sister is keen on relinquishing her claim. – June 8th-11th, Thursday/Friday/Saturday at 7:30pm, Saturdays/Sunday at 2pm.

Fishers Arts Council

Second Friday – Fishers Arts Council Presents: Summer Shine! Reception at the Collaboration Hub at Hamilton County Community Foundation on Friday, June 9th from 6-8p. This free reception is open to the public and all ages are welcome. Meet the artists, enjoy their works, and partake of light refreshments. Special Focus on the Artist Programming at 6:45pm. – Art Gallery at the Collaboration Hub 11810 Technology Dr., Fishers, IN 46038 – June 9th – 6-8pm.

Spark! Fishers Car + Art Show – Come for the classic and muscle cars – stay for the local art vendors! Artist vendor list coming in May! This is a FREE event to attend and guest registration is NOT required. Artists and Car Owners will need to sign up on the website. – June 22nd – 6 to 9pm.

This Month’s Theme: Hamilton County Gals

LGBTQ+ Ally Meetup – Our intention for this meetup is for the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to have an open space for dialogue, and support. A place that protects, inspires, and empowers the young and all. Let’s work together to create an amazing meetup. – June 3rd – 2 to 4pm.

Walking Club – The starting point for the walk is the front porch of Noblesville Creates, 107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville. Bring water, suntan lotion, and rain gear. The Gal’s Guide walking club is open to all fitness levels. – June 10th, 9am. 

Film Club – Leah Leach is our resident movie geek. With a background of working in movie theaters, video stores, and 18 years behind the camera, she’s got a knack for picking an interesting movie to talk about. And we don’t care about the first rule of Fight Club, the first rule of Film Club is: You talk about Film Club. – June 15th – 5:30 to 7pm.

Book Club – Katie Harris has a knack for picking a great book! A leader (and treasured unicorn) of Gal’s Guide Book Club Katie will handpick a book that fits into our research theme for the month. Selections might be fiction, they might be nonfiction. Because of our wide reach, we’re still looking at using Zoom to meet. We are a no-pressure book club, you don’t have to read the full book to participate. You do however have to sign up. – June 29th – 8 to 9pm.

Caravan Classes (92 S. 9th St., Noblesville, IN 46060)

Art Explorers for Toddler-PreK – This 30 minute session features exploration of mediums and creativity. Parents will stay with their child supporting them in their work, and clean up as needed. Siblings are welcome to observe but you are only required to pay for each child participating. – Tuesdays 11 to 11:30am. 

After School Art – After school class meets at 4:30 every Wednesday beginning Sept 7th. This class is designed for ages 6-12. Students will learn a variety of techniques using different mediums, completing a project most class days. Drawing and Art History are also incorporated in to the lessons of this class. – Wednesdays 4:30 to 5:30pm.

Kiln Creations (60 North 9th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060)

Hanging Painter Class – Make this great round hanging planter in our upcoming clay class! We’ll roll the clay, cut out the shapes, and form them together! Then you can come back and paint. – June 2nd – 6 to 8pm.

Kid’s Wheel Class: Sundays – We’ve added 8 wheels, we’ve hired top-notch instructors and bought the best equipment for beginners and advanced artists alike! Sign your little artist up for a four-week kid’s class Sundays, from 4-530. Classes are June 4, 11, 18, and 25th. Your class registration provides clay, wheel time, and a tool kit. It is suggested that you bring a small bucket (about 1 gallon) and wear clothes you can move well in and get dirty. This class will focus on wedging, centering and throwing a basic tumbler. If there is time in class your instructor will review attaching handles. – June 4th – 4 to 5:30pm.

Couples’ Wheel Class – We’re having a couples’ clay class for a great couples’ price. For $85, you are your partner, friend, or that special someone you’ve always wanted to take a class with can come in and get messy in the clay with us! Our instructor will walk you through throwing on the wheel. Create a small bowl in this beginner’s class. Or not because clay is difficult. Either way, you’ll have fun! – June 8th & 24th – 6 to 8pm.

Round Vase – Clay classes are the best, and this is no exception! We’re making this sweet vase/planter for your table/mantel.  Join us for a fun night of creating a function piece. – June 11th, 5 to 6:30pm.

Reiki Mindfulness and Mandala Art Session – Join us for this relaxing class! We’ll engage in reiki meditative practices and paint pottery!  Your $60 ticket is for your Reiki experience with Marci Grayson, and a stoneware mug to paint. We’ll provide all the paint and teachings you’ll need to create an amazing piece. – June 15th – 6 to 8pm.

Paint-a-thon – This Paint-a-thon is a 3 hour painting event featuring miles of discontinued, overstock, seasonal, and slightly imperfect pottery. Miles might be an exaggeration, but there will be plenty for our limited available seats. – June 16th, 6 to 9pm.

Mommy and Me Wheel class – We’re having a Mommy and Me clay class for a great price. For $85, you are your VIP can come in and get messy in the clay with us! Our instructor will walk you through throwing on the wheel. Create a small bowl in this beginner’s class. Or not because clay is difficult. Either way, you’ll have fun! – June 18th – 5 to 6:30pm.

Beginners’ Wheel Class: Thursdays – Did you know wheel throwing is one of the oldest crafts? Get your hands dirty the ancient way and join our beginner’s wheel class. This is an hour and a half long class that teaches you to center, pierce, pull and generally get covered in mud. This class meets Thursdays, from 6-730, starting June 22nd. – starts June 22nd – 6 to 7:30pm.

Mushroom Class – Animated Mushrooms are my favorite thing. Summer, Spring, Fall and even Winter, Mushies are the best fungus around. $5 gets you access to this Mushroom themed event where we’ll have every type of mushroom tool- silkscreens, sheets to copy, stamps, and more! – June 23rd – 6 to 8pm.

Warhol Artists’ Series: Self Portraits on Clay – This is a new class in a new format! We’ll be doing a deep dive into some of the world’s most famous artists, talking about their techniques and personality while recreating a famous work. Our Third Artist Series spotlights Andy Warhol’s Pop Art Style in Self-portraits. Join us as we walk through how to create your face in Warhol’s style on a hanging plaque, all the while we’ll learn about Warhol’s work to birth the pop art movement. – June 25th – 5 to 7pm.

Van Gogh Artist Series: Starry Night – This is a new class in a new format! We’ll be doing a deep dive into some of the world’s most famous artists, talking about their techniques and personality while recreating a famous work. First up is Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Join us as we walk through how to paint this on a bowl, mug or plate, all the while we’ll learn about Van Gogh’s post-impressionist style. – June 30th – 6 to 8pm.

LeVar Burton Reads: Listen and Make – We are expanding our Artists’ Series to include the art of the written word. We’ll be enjoying LeVar Burton Reads, a podcast presented by LeVar Burton. In this podcast, we hear stories of speculative fiction, historical fiction, and other short stories. The first story we’ll visit is “Tideline” by Elizabeth Bear.  We will show you how to create amazing clay pendants while we enjoy the story.  This workshop is so fun and easy for all ages and abilities. – July 1st – 6 to 7:30pm.

White River Sound

Regular Choir Rehearsal – Visit us at a rehearsal – visitors are welcome at any time. This group of women loves to sing so much that we refused to let a pandemic stop us! We meet each week to sing together to learn new songs and perfect them for performance. – Ivy Tech Lawrence Auditorium 9301 E. 59th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46216 – June Tuesdays- 7 to 9pm.

Hamilton County Artists’ Associations’ June Exhibit- Student Showcase.  The Birdie Gallery is open on First Fridays and most Saturdays.
