Music & All That Jazz – Gordon Insurance Partners sponsor the 2023 Music & All That Jazz series in Historic Downtown Noblesville. Bring your lawn chair to courthouse square for a delightful evening of music in a beautiful downtown setting. Make it a full evening with shopping and dining in our unique shops and restaurants around the Square. July features music from the The Juan Douglas Trio. July 8th – 5 to 7pm.
Street Dance/Bicentennial Celebration – Spend the day and night on Noblesville’s Historic Square listening to music and celebrating Noblesville’s Bicentennial. July 22nd, 1 to 7pm.
Second Friday – Fishers Arts Council Presents: Hamilton County Artists’ Association’s Member Only Show “All Our Best”- This free reception is open to the public and all ages are welcome. LGBTQ+ Ally Meetup – Our intention for this meetup is for the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to have an open space for dialogue, and support. A place that protects, inspires, and empowers the young and all. Let’s work together to create an amazing meetup. – July 1st – 2 to 4pm.
Walking Club – The starting point for the walk is the front porch of Noblesville Creates, 107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville. Bring water, suntan lotion, and rain gear. The Gal’s Guide walking club is open to all fitness levels. – July 8th, 9am.
Film Club – Leah Leach is our resident movie geek. With a background of working in movie theaters, video stores, and 18 years behind the camera, she’s got a knack for picking an interesting movie to talk about. And we don’t care about the first rule of Fight Club, the first rule of Film Club is: You talk about Film Club. – July 20th – 5:30 to 7pm.
Book Club – Katie Harris has a knack for picking a great book! A leader (and treasured unicorn) of Gal’s Guide Book Club Katie will handpick a book that fits into our research theme for the month. Selections might be fiction, they might be nonfiction. Because of our wide reach, we’re still looking at using Zoom to meet. We are a no-pressure book club, you don’t have to read the full book to participate. You do however have to sign up. – July 27th – 8 to 9pm.
History Faire- Info Session & Material Pickup – Gal’s Guide will be hosting an Info Session about how to participate in the BiCentennial Interactive History Faire on July 8 from 1pm-2pm at Gal’s Guide Library. They will have a FREE tri-fold board for you, access to researchers, lists of Ham Co Peeps to choose from, as well as research books available for free checkout. Register today and you’ll get an email reminder about the info session and material pickup. – July 8th – 1 to 2pm.
BiCentennial Interactive History Faire – Calling all history cosplayers (this is a thing, right?). Hamilton County is celebrating its bicentennial. Let’s put on a fun science fair with a history flare! We’re looking for awesome people to research a person from Ham Co, create a presentation board, and dress up as their person for the Gal’s Guide History Faire. Wait! Before you are like, ewe, there are amazing prizes: be on a podcast, free ice cream, $125 worth of Marker’s Playground access, deluxe sewing kit, and Golden Volcano! Pick a person or event that has ties to Hamilton County. It could be a person who lived here, someone you are related to, or someone who visited here. It could also be an event like the Great Squirrel Stampede of 1822 or the Gas Boom of Hamilton County in 1887. Register to be a participant. Even if you are not sure who you are going to research, we’ll help with a list of ideas and a researcher. The faire is open to all to attend and learn about the amazing Ham Co peeps past and present. Prizes will be given out during the event at 3pm. – July 22nd – 1 to 4pm.

Kahlo Artists’ Series: Self Portraits – Our Second Artist Series spotlight’s Frida Kahlo’s Self-portraits. Join us as we walk through how to paint your face in Kahlo’s style on a bowl, mug or plate, all the while we’ll learn about whether Kahlo herself considered her work Surrealism. – July 6th, 6 to 8pm.
Advance Wheel Class- Four Weeks – Did you know wheel throwing is one of the oldest crafts? Get your hands dirty the ancient way and join our advanced wheel class. This is an hour and a half long class that expands your clay knowledge. This class meets Saturdays starting July 8th from 4-530p. Your class registration provides clay, wheel time, and a tool kit. It is suggested that you bring a small bucket (about 1 gallon) and wear clothes you can move well in and get dirty. This class will focus on advanced skills and building your portfolio. Expect increased weight, more pieces, and more concepts than the beginner’s class. – July 8th, 4 to 5:30pm.
Paint Your Pet – Furry Friends are number one for the KC family, and we want to celebrate all of yours! For your $25, you get to paint one pet portrait in a watercolor style. These whimsical paintings are fun, fancy, and relatively easy to do! We’ll lead you step-by-step through the process. We will all paint a 9×12 piece of watercolor paper. – July 8th, 6 to 8pm.
Starry Night Stoneware – Pick a 12″ oval stoneware platter or a 9″ stoneware serving bowl and paint along! We’re tracing the pattern on to your choice of stoneware vessel and painting step by step. – July 9th – 5 to 7pm.
Shatter Glass Resin Class – These underwater dreams are just waiting for you to put your personalized touch on them! We’ll start with an 8×10 frame, plot out where our glass should be, and pour resin to keep everything in place and glossified! This is a really great multimedia class that leaves you a chance to get creative. – July 13th – 6 to 7:30pm.
Paint a Princess Under the Sea – Join us for an undersea adventure! The Mermaid Princess will be in studio for a magical day. – July 14th – 6 to 8pm.
Dr. Leah Leach Listen and Craft – Award-winning local author and founder of the Gal’s Guide Library, Leah Leach will read to us while we paint! Leah will read a published piece entitled “Mother’s at a Science Faire” which showcases a new style of telling history with a compassionate and empowering lens. You might have heard that Leah is working on a book & a workshop around this project… well those who attend will get a special sneak peek of chapters of the new book she’s working on! While we listen, we’ll make clay lanterns! We will show you a few basic flowers, but if you have other ideas, we can help you create them! – July 15th – 6 to 8pm.
Handbuilt Clay Christmas Tree – Join us to create unique Christmas trees out of wet clay! Create either look in a 6 inch or 12 inch tree. – July 21st – 6 to 8pm.
Couples’ Wheel Class – We’re having a couples’ clay class for a great couples’ price. For $85, you are your partner, friend, or that special someone you’ve always wanted to take a class with can come in a get messy in the clay with us! Our instructor will walk you through throwing on the wheel. Create a small bowl in this beginner’s class. Or not because clay is difficult. Either way, you’ll have fun! – July 21st – 6 to 8pm.

Wave Plate Class – Choose a plate or a bowl and ride the wave with us! We’ll teach you step by step how to paint this fun design on a plate or bowl to brighten your kitchen. This is a multi-technique class, so you’ll learn a ton too! – July 28th – 6 to 8pm.
Squishmallow Plates – Make a plate and get a new mini squishmallow! We have dozens of mini squishmallows waiting for new homes and we want to party with you! – July 29th – 6 to 8pm.
Regular Choir Rehearsal – Visit us at a rehearsal – visitors are welcome at any time. This group of women loves to sing so much that we refused to let a pandemic stop us! We meet each week to sing together to learn new songs and perfect them for performance. – Ivy Tech Lawrence Auditorium 9301 E. 59th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46216 – July Tuesdays- 7 to 9pm.
