Resounding Joy has a new Music Wellness Center in Noblesville that can host free, or reduced-cost, music and wellness events for the community as well as group and individual music therapy sessions. Our team is working hard to make the space inviting, comfortable, and inspirational for our patients and their families, as well as our community as a whole.
You have just one weekend left to catch “How The Other Half Loves” by Alan Ayckbourn. This play is a wild farce which follows three married couples whose lives are hopelessly entwined, fueled by rumors, mistruths, and misunderstandings. Bob is sleeping with his boss’ wife, Fiona. In order to hide their whereabouts, they implicate poor William and Mary Detweiler. The plot thickens when dinner parties on successive nights end in more rumors and disaster. Only the truth can restore order to chaos. – Sept. 29th & 30th at 7:30 p.m. & Oct. 1st at 2:00 p.m. – Arts for Lawrence’s Theatre at the Fort.
Second Friday – Fishers Arts Council Presents: Celebrating the Bicentennial – Fishers & Small Town Indiana reception is open to the public. Meet these talented artists, enjoy their works that feature the history of Fishers and Hamilton County, see historic artifacts from The Fishers Historical Society, listen to music of Indiana’s past by Bach 2 Rock, and partake of light refreshments and a cash bar. – FAC Hub Gallery at the Collaboration Hub 11810 Technology Dr., Fishers, IN 46038 – Oct. 13th – 6 to 8 pm.

This Month’s Theme: Folklore
Nourish Writing Workshop – The 2023 workshop will dive deeper into the Born of Many Mothers (BOMM) Method developed by Dr. Leah Leach. This is a compassion “recipe” that uses the ingredients of women’s history, mythology, mother stories, and compassion. This tool allows people to nourish their creativity and connect more genuinely with our shared humanity. BOMM can be used as a writing inspiration, a creativity unlocker, and a vehicle for healing. This is a 12-week course that starts Oct. 4th.
LGBTQ+ Ally Meetup – Our intention for this meetup is for the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to have an open space for dialogue, and support. A place that protects, inspires, and empowers the young and all. Let’s work together to create an amazing meetup. – Oct. 7th – 2 to 4pm.
Walking Club – The starting point for the walk is the front porch of Noblesville Creates, 107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville. Bring water, suntan lotion, and rain gear. The Gal’s Guide walking club is open to all fitness levels. – Oct. 14th – 9am.
Film Club – Leah Leach is our resident movie geek. With a background of working in movie theaters, video stores, and 18 years behind the camera, she’s got a knack for picking an interesting movie to talk about. And we don’t care about the first rule of Fight Club, the first rule of Film Club is: You talk about Film Club. – Oct. 19th – 5:30 to 7pm.
Book Club – Katie Harris has a knack for picking a great book! A leader (and treasured unicorn) of Gal’s Guide Book Club Katie will handpick a book that fits into our research theme for the month. Selections might be fiction, they might be nonfiction. Because of our wide reach, we’re still looking at using Zoom to meet. We are a no-pressure book club, you don’t have to read the full book to participate. You do however have to sign up. – Oct. 26th – 8 to 9pm.
Music & All That Jazz – Gordon Insurance Partners sponsor the 2023 Music & All That Jazz series in Historic Downtown Noblesville. Bring your lawn chair to courthouse square for a delightful evening of music in a beautiful downtown setting. Make it a full evening with shopping and dining in our unique shops and restaurants around the Square. October features music from the Cohen-Rutkowski Project. – Oct. 14th – 5 to 9pm.
Farmers’ Market – We are proud of our diverse and unique vendor base. All market vendors produce the products they sell! From honey, to fresh meat, to flowers, to candles, the Noblesville Farmers Market has something for everyone! – Last 2: Oct. 7th & 14th – 8am to 12pm.
“Waiting for Godot” – In Waiting for Godot, two wandering tramps, Vladimir and Estragon, wait by a lonely tree, to meet up with Mr. Godot, an enigmatic figure in a world where time, place and memory are blurred and meaning is where you find it. The tramps hope that Godot will change their lives for the better. Instead, two eccentric travelers arrive, one on the end of the other’s rope. The results are both funny and dangerous in this existential masterpiece. – Sept 28th & 29th at 7:30 pm and Oct. 1st at 2:30 pm. – The Switch Theater in Fishers.

Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio
Pop-up at The Knitting Otter – Get your naturally dyed yarn and fiber in time for those holiday projects (or just for yourself!)—we will have all our yarn and fiber bases with new fall Tweed Fingering colorways and will have our new Suri Silk base ready to pair with another yarn for an incredibly soft and fuzzy fabric perfect for the colder months! – The Knitting Otter in Franklin – Oct. 14th – 11am to 5pm.
Regular Choir Rehearsal – Visit us at a rehearsal – visitors are welcome at any time. This group meets each week to sing together to learn new songs and perfect them for performance. – Ivy Tech Lawrence Auditorium 9301 E. 59th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46216 – Tuesdays- 7 to 9pm.
Improbable Fiction Theatre Company
“As You Like It” – William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy classic will be presented by a roving troupe of Commedia dell’Arte performers such as Harlequin and Pulcinella. Noblesville Creates’ own Ryan Shelton will be playing Touchstone. The show runs October 6th-15 at Mud Creek Players.

Starting Methods- Accurate Color Wash – The nature of your subject, how you intend to paint it, and how you envision the final piece can call for a variety of different starting methods. In this workshop series, The teacher will share with you what initial stages they have used to achieve the work that they are most proud of. Each date will feature a different method. Take the whole series or choose the dates that are most intriguing to you! – Oct. 21st – 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Max Ginsburg Workshop – Spread the word! Renowned New York City painter Max Ginsburg will be teaching a three day workshop at the HCAA Gallery this October 3-5!
