31 May Indiana Artists IN/A
Indiana Artists IN/A
The Fishers Arts Council in cooperation with The City of Fishers and Noblesville Creates is proud to present its fifth Art in City Hall exhibit for 2018 featuring works by members of Indiana Artists – IN/A. This exhibit features 31 works by 31 professional artists.
Indiana Artists was founded in 1917. The organization was originally founded as the Indiana Artists Club. At that time, it included such notables as T.C. Steele, William Forsyth, Otto Start, Carl Graf, Wayman Adams, Simon Baus and Marie Goth. Today, IN/A has a membership of more than 150 professional artists engaged in all disciplines of art. The organization sponsors three statewide exhibitions in addition to offering lectures, demonstrations and workshops.
Since the organization’s inception, there have been 84 juried exhibitions. Starting in 1994, these have been held at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (IMA). Each year, IN/A artist members are invited to enter this Annual Juried Exhibition. Submitted works are reviewed by an outside juror to be included in the exhibition. This year 13 artists received awards ranging from $3000 to $300. Besides the Annual Juried Exhibition, IN/A offers a Fall Exhibition for members with prize awards totaling around $5000.
All of the works are available for purchase. To purchase, reach out to Rachael O’Dell at Noblesville Creates, rodell@noblesvillecreates.org or call her at 317-452-3690.
