Community-Wide Exhibit Headlines Month of Arts Exploits at Noblesville Creates
NOBLESVILLE, IND. — This January, unplug and create with Noblesville Creates in hipstoric Downtown Noblesville.
COMMUNITY-WIDE EXHIBIT:
The Artist Next Door, Jan. 6-27
Art is for and by everyone, found in nooks, crannies and Noblesville Creates’ Judge Stone House gallery from Jan. 6 to 28. Artists of all skill levels and ages will exhibit work during The Artist Next Door, a collection of art in a range of media featuring pieces from your neighbors, friends and you. Most of the featured art will be available for sale. The exhibit is open to the public during regular business hours; free admission.

FIRST FRIDAY:
Jan. 6, 6-9 p.m.
Unwind during First Friday at Noblesville Creates! Admission is free for you to enjoy activities and live music by local band Cadre. Beer and wine are available for purchase. Get a first look at The Artist Next Door exhibit inside the Judge Stone House gallery.

ARTISTS’ BUSINESS CLASS:
Storytelling For Sales: Jan 18, 6:30-8 p.m.
In this session at the Noblesville Library, local marketing and branding experts will help artists learn how to use their own stories to boost success. Artists will explore ways to turn their tales into treasure using online media, marketing materials, elevator speeches, and more. (Cost is just $5.) The Noblesville Chamber of Commerce and Noblesville Creates team up to offer The Art of Business workshops, taught by local business leaders designed to help artists build their business savvy. Each workshop will cover a new topic, including tax preparation, building a marketing plan, tips on social media and how to prep for an art fair.

ART CLASS:
Monday Night Drawing Class: Jan. 9-March 13, Mondays, 7-9 p.m.
Noblesville Creates’ popular 10-week Monday Night Drawing Class is available to adult artists at all skill levels, basic to advanced. Noblesville Creates Studio Artist Eric O’Dell will lead the classes, bringing a range of drawing experience to this course. O’Dell studied drawing, printmaking, painting and more at Herron School of Art and describes his style as modern, conceptual and abstract. Cost is $110.

Valentine’s Day For All
— Temptation Exhibit, Feb. 3-24: Featuring the work of emerging artists in various media that explore the theme of “temptation.”
— Date Night, Feb. 10, 11 and 14; 6-9 p.m.: For couples or groups, find artist-led art projects, live performances, and a wine/beer bar; $10/activity for two people.
— Family Valentine’s Day, Feb. 11, 12-5 p.m.: Bring the kiddos to Noblesville Creates for children’s activities, crafts ($5 each) and sweet treats.
Acrylic Painting 101, Feb. 15-March 22, Wednesdays, 7-9 p.m.: Noblesville Creates Studio Artist Lesley Haflich guides participants through the basics of acrylic painting, including usage of tools, composition, color theory and more. Registration open!
