Artist Call-Out: Creating Indiana Together

Artist Call-Out: Creating Indiana Together

Art is fundamental to who we are and who we were, as individuals and as a state. During the Creating Indiana Together exhibit April 1-30, we are celebrating collaborative efforts among artists and how banding together and leveraging each other’s ingenuity can inspire us to think, see and grow in new ways.

Noblesville Creates is seeking artwork executed by two or more artists, in a range of mediums, with an emphasis on how art has shaped and continues to shape Indiana. We want to showcase artwork, literature, music, photography and poetry that was created from partnering with another artist. If your painting was inspired by a poem or you created a sculpture after listening to a song submit it to our Creating Indiana Together exhibit.

Deadline for submissions is Wednesday, March 16, 2016. Please complete the form  on the Artists page and include an image of the work that you want to submit, the title, price, and a short explanation of how your submission fits our theme. All artwork must be ready to hang, wired flat with no i–screws or saw tooth hangers. Hanging space in our gallery is limited–we encourage you to submit items that are 20″x30″ or smaller. Artists may submit up to three works. If you have any questions, please contact Paige Hunkin.

We will contact you by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 21 if your piece(s) has/have been accepted into the show.

Accepted artwork should be dropped off Wednesday, March 23, Thursday, March 24, and Friday, March 25 from 12-5 p.m. and Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. If you need additional accommodations, please let us know.

Creating Indiana Together will run from April 1-30, 2016 and most works will be for sale to the public. When you drop off your work, we will have you sign a release form and fill out a w-9 taxpayer identification form, if you have not filled out one with us previously.

Noblesville Creates will host an Opening Reception on Friday, April 1, 6-9 p.m.

Following the Opening, the exhibit will be open to the public on Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays Noon-5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. through April 30, 2016.
