Artist Showcase: Tori Weyers’ “100 Days of Abstracts”

Artist Showcase: Tori Weyers’ “100 Days of Abstracts”

Tori Weyers is busy. Besides her full-time position as Director of Creative and Web Design for OneAmerica Financial Partners, Tori maintains a strong online presence through a variety of channels. She sells her artwork on Etsy and Society6. She teaches online classes via her website, www.drawriot.com. She regularly updates her YouTube channel, offering vlogs, glimpses into her online classes, fun art-centered series videos like “Coffee, Tea, and Art” and “Sketchbook Practice”, as well as previews of her art-goodie subscription service, “Art Bento Box.” In her “Creative & Caffeinated” group on Facebook, Tori posts daily arts exercises and prompts, and regularly encourages and interacts with members of the group. As if that’s not enough to keep her occupied, Tori teaches classes and workshops at the Indianapolis Art Center and here at Noblesville Creates. We’re not quite sure how she sleeps or eats, but we’re glad that she does.

It’s clear that Tori has a passion for art. Her abstract work with color is energetic, dynamic, and inspiring. Of her work, Tori has said: “I make space to create daily and to explore the elements of color, shape, line, and texture.” Originally from Indianapolis, Tori received her BFA from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and has been working as a professional artist and designer since the late 90’s. She has been published in a variety of publications and has shown her work in many galleries both regionally and on the west coast. Tori creates and displays her artwork in her downtown Indianapolis studio, located in the Circle City Industrial Artists Complex. In 2018, Tori will be a featured guest on the PBS television show, “Make It Artsy.”

Noblesville Creates is excited to have Tori returning for her second Artist Showcase with us this February. Her show, “100 Days of Abstracts,” will feature a collection of her works formed during her personal project described in the show title. Noblesville Creates will host an Opening Reception on Saturday, February 17th from 6-9pm and the public is invited to attend. The exhibit will be open to the public during regular business hours, Wednesday – Friday from noon – 5pm and Saturday from 10am – 5pm through the month of February. Most works will be for sale.
