We’ve decided to post all of our artist opportunities in one spot to make it easier for our network of creatives. Read on for call-outs and more, and be sure to read all the way through – we wouldn’t want you to miss an important deadline! Note: opportunities are listed chronologically according to deadline date, with deadline in bold (when applicable).

Indiana Arts Commission’s “Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites” Grant

Do you represent an arts organization interested in submitting an applications for the Arts Commission’s Arts in the Parks & Historic Sites program? The program offers grants up to $3,000 for arts related projects that encourage the creation of and public engagement with art in the Indiana state park / forest system or state historic sites. Arts and non-arts organizations are eligible to apply as well as individual artists. Organizations have until 4:30 p.m. September 6, 2018 to complete their online application. Arts in the Parks and Historic Sites is a grant program that provides funding for arts program related projects that encourage the creation of and public engagement with art about the Indiana state park/forest system and historic sites. To get funded, the proposed project must be connected to the site (highlight its historical significance, etc.). Click here to review program guidelines and important program dates.

Plein Air Painters Wanted for Duck Race

Noblesville Main Street’s Duck Race is happening on September 8th, 2018 from 3-7pm on the Logan Street Bridge. Live music, kayak racing, kids’ activities, cash prizes, and a beer garden will round out the event’s festivities in this fun annual event. Event organizers would like to highlight the local arts community by inviting plein air painters to set up their easels and capture local scenery during the event. Call for Art: “Middle West” Exhibit at Ignite Studio in Fishers

Hamilton East Public Library in Fishers is excited to celebrate the fall season with an art exhibit featuring artwork from local artists. Ignite Studio seeks 2D artwork in a variety of sizes and mediums that fits the title theme of “Middle West.” The exhibit will be on display in their new art–focused makerspace from October 17 – January 1. To submit your artwork for consideration, please email Katelyn Coyne directly at coynek@hepl.lib.in.us. Submission deadline is Monday, September 10th.

Forging Sweet Arts: Celebrating Six Years of Noblesville Creates

Artists: We need your help! On September 12, we’ll be celebrating our sixth anniversary with a fundraiser gala at Mill Top Banquet and Conference Center. We’re looking for artists to help us with event décor, artwork, gifts, auction items, and more. Call for Artists: Worldwide “Art Battle” Competition Coming to Fortville

Art Battle is a live competitive painting event that happens in cities across the US, Canada, and around the world. On September 29th, Fortville Main Street will host their own Art Battle event from 6-10pm. Artists are invited to enter the competition and turn a blank canvas into inspiring artwork in just 20 minutes. Participants will help vote to determine an event winner. All artwork created during the event will be available for purchase via a silent auction. Fans of art and live competition are invited to purchase a ticket to attend (with special early bird prices available until September 22nd). Registrations Open Now for Noblesville Creates’ Comic Book in a Day!

Noblesville Creates is celebrating the 5th year of our annual Comic Book in a Day Challenge by bringing the event to a new home! This year’s event will take place on Saturday, October 6th from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. at the Ignite Studio at the Fishers Library!  This year’s event will feature the best that Noblesville Creates AND Ignite have to offer, included expanded activities for families and kids, more artwork for sale, and more activities for artists and comic book fans of all ages. Fishers Arts Council’s Art in City Hall Exhibit Season (Updated 7/18/18)

The Fishers Arts Council is pleased to announce its 2018 Art in City Hall Exhibit Season. Each month, there will be a new exhibit of artwork reflecting a variety of topics relative to the City of Fishers and offered by the residents of Fishers and the surrounding metropolitan area. The exhibits are open to the general public during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to these hours, a reception is generally held for the participating artists at some point during the exhibit, usually from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. And, most artwork is available for purchase.
