02 Apr “Come on, Spring! Indiana Wildflowers!” Bobbi K. Samples at Meyer Najem
Bobbi K. Samples’s latest exhibit is bursting with color and the sweet smell of springtime. Meyer Najem in Fishers is the home of Bobbi’s most recent showcase, “Come on Spring! Indiana Wildflowers!” “I am truly excited to show my passion for art, especially this spring. I paint because it makes me happy and it is an outlet for my creative side.”
With subjects ranging from buttercups to sunflowers to purple phlox, Bobbi’s contemporary style really shines in this exhibit. She creates with a free hand, and copious amounts of oil paint, using mostly knives to build her works. Her paintings mirror her personality with many layers of bright and bold colors – you can feel the happiness and energy springing from the canvas.
Along with the sea of wildflowers, Bobbi includes some fan favorites (roosters!) and a variety of canvas sizes. “This year, we are all looking for something bright and new after a year of Covid and being cooped up. I feel this show is something bright and, many of the works, are new in 2021 or painted during 2020.” Bobbi’s exhibit includes several new pieces that no one has ever seen before, which makes it a perfect reason to get out and see this exhibit in person.
“Come on, Spring! Indiana Wildflowers!” will be on display on the 2nd floor of the Meyer Najem building, located at 11787 Lantern Road in Fishers, from April 5 through the end of June. Her exhibit can be viewed in person Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm or online on our virtual exhibits page. A special reception will be announced soon – stay tuned!
“I hope people see the beauty in nature and my interpretation of the extraordinary beauty and color in God’s handiwork.”
