Eric O’Dell Receives IAC Grant

Noblesville Creates Studio Artist Eric O’Dell has been awarded an On-Ramp 2018 Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission. The grant is a continuation of their new On-Ramp accelerator, a program designed to boost the entrepreneurial skills of Hoosier artists through a three-day intensive training course, certification, and one-on-one coaching. Over 100 Indiana artists from all over the state applied for this new opportunity, 36 of whom were selected to participate. Once artists have completed the program, they are eligible to apply for the On-Ramp Grant, which may be used for career-advancing projects.

Eric completed the 2018 On-Ramp accelerator this past May, and applied for the On-Ramp grant shortly thereafter. With his acceptance, he plans to use the funds to design journals that will support other artists and makers in a variety of ways. A trained printmaker, Eric works as an American Sign Language Interpreter by day, making books by hand in his spare time.
