16 Jan 2018 Hoosier Women Artists Contest
All women artists in Indiana are eligible to enter the 2018 Hoosier Women Artists contest through Friday, Jan. 26.
The contest is organized by Indiana Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, Treasurer Kelly Mitchell, and the Indiana Arts Commission. Winners will have their artwork displayed Mitchell’s and Crouch’s offices at the Statehouse for one year, to be viewed by thousands of school groups, visitors and staff who explore the building annually.
The Hoosier Women Artists annual competition was established to celebrate Women’s History Month and highlight talented female artists throughout Indiana. The contest celebrates the wide variety of graphic arts including drawing, painting and photography. Past entries have included – but are not limited to – portraits, landscapes, still lifes, animals, buildings and abstracts. Honorees of the Hoosier Women Artists Contest will have their artwork displayed in the Indiana statehouse for one year.
The Hoosier Women Artists application will close on Friday, January 26th. For more information and how to apply, please visit the Indiana Arts Commission’s website.
