Artists Needed for “Think Spring” Exhibit

Artists Needed for “Think Spring” Exhibit

Hamilton County Tourism and the Soil and Water Conservation district (SWCD) of Hamilton County are teaming up with Noblesville Creates to coordinate an exhibit all about local native plant life! This showcase exhibit will run from February 2-24 in the Stephenson House at Noblesville Creates on 8th, with an educational open house reception on Friday, February 2nd, from 6-9 p.m.

This exhibit will showcase the beauty and diversity of Indiana’s native plants. Local artwork featuring native flowers, trees, and shrubs are sure to encourage viewers to “Think Spring” and start planning now for their garden refresh.

Hamilton County Tourism noted, “In conversation with the Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) of Hamilton County, we’ve been thinking about the natural beauty of Indiana’s flora and fauna. Unfortunately, these native plants are often undervalued and overlooked by residents and passed by in favor of plants that are non-native or even invasive. Invasive plants threaten the environmental and economic health of our county, so we decided to bring artists and residents together for a night of education and appreciation of the beauty and value of our native plants.”

Artists may submit up to three pieces of work in all mediums that celebrate the native ecology of Hamilton County. The deadline to submit artwork is Friday, January 19th, 2024.
