2021 – March Featured Partner Events

Each month, we gather information about our Featured Partners  and their upcoming events in one spot so that it’s easy for you to see what’s coming up.  That spot is right here!

Art Gallery at City Hall and Conner Prairie Presents: A Celebration of Art: Part of Building our Inclusive Community
March 12, 7:00pm-8:00pm
We will hold a virtual reception on Fishers Arts Council’s Facebook page, found at Facebook.com/FishersArt. The reception will include remarks by the Co-Chairs of the Advisory Committee, Cecilia Coble and Kelly Hartman, comments by representatives of the Conner Prairie Museum, and a video by videographer Brian Brosmer highlighting the artists and organizations participating in the event this year.
The following organizations will be participating, BACA, JANUS, Opportunities for Growth, Outside the Box, and The Fortune Academy. Individual artists whose art will be displayed include Krista Darrow, Jimmy Kiefel, Hika Kikuchi, Nick Mangos and Kenya Ferrand-Ott.

We offer online Arts Showcase exhibits every couple of months, each with its own web page featuring creative work of all kinds. Submit your original artwork (all mediums), writings (all genres), and songs/instrumentals (videos or MP3s) to our online Arts Showcase and occasional contests. Email the form with your submission files to info@cearts.org (download form: CEArts Arts Showcase Exhibits Callout)
The themes listed below are for 2020 (themes may change each year).

Community • Education • Arts CALLOUT for Arts-related podcast and short videos guests:
Podcast Episodes air on Fridays at 4pm
@theroundtable is our podcast, where we discuss the Arts with writers, musicians, and artists of all kinds. Contact us via email at info@cearts.org to be a guest! Due to COVID-19, our guests join us via Zoom for the foreseeable future. We are flexible with recording dates and times (almost any day of the week, any time). Each recording takes about a total of about 30-40 minutes.

Caravan Classes
Every Wednesday at 4:30 pm
$15 per class or class packs available
All supplies are provided. We will walk though a different theme each month, exploring different mediums as we complete a project each week.

Teen Art
Every Wednesday at 5:30pm
$15 per class or class packs available
All supplies are provided. Sharpen drawing skills and work progressively on a subject of your choice within the month’s theme.

Happy Babies (& Tots) Online
Every Thursday in February at 10:00am
A box of supplies to go with each online session will be available for pick up or shipping by the 1st of the month. Zoom links will be emailed to registrants. These sessions are designed for up to 3 years of age. Emily Crapnell combines mindfulness, with science and music and collaborates with Caravan Classes for hands-on art activities and projects.

Belfry Theatre Accepting Applications for Performing Arts Scholarship
Deadline April 9
The Belfry Theatre in Noblesville is now accepting scholarship applications through April 9.
Each year, in accordance with the theater’s mission, The Belfry Theatre provides a $2,000 scholarship to a deserving high school senior planning to major in theater and/or the performing arts. Funds for the scholarship are derived from concession sales from the performances of that season.
The criteria: senior in a Hamilton County Indiana high school, scholastic achievement, plans to pursue a course of study in the performing arts, participate in theater or performing arts while in high school, be motivated and have goals.
Applicants must provide high school transcripts, letter to Belfry Theatre scholarship committee describing reason for applying, letters of recommendation and a high-resolution headshot of yourself.
