Caravan Classes

Make sure to go to Caravan Classes’ website and check out the Noblesville Studio listings: Paint Your Pet, Jewelry Making, Acrylic Pour, Ocean & Beach Pour, Mini-Habitats, Silk Scarf Dyeing, Mini Canvas Shoreline Acrylic Pour.

Art for Tots- Paint a Holiday Village House – Ages 3-6 are invited to attend with a guardian. Projects and activities last for a half hour. – Dec. 1st – 10 to 10:30 am. 

Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio

Handmade Vintage Market Holiday Mart – The Handmade Vintage Market is a juried show that includes local, handmade items from artisans and makers in Central Indiana. We will have naturally dyed yarn and fiber, natural dye kits, and eco-printed silk and wool scarves for holiday gift giving! – Hamilton County Fairgrounds – 2003 Pleasant St., Noblesville, IN 46060 – Dec. 2nd – 10 am to 5 pm.

Pop-Up at Mass Ave Knit Shop – Join us for a pop-up at Mass Ave Knit Shop—we’ll have all our naturally-dyed yarn and fiber as well as natural dye kits and eco-printed scarves perfect for holiday gifts! – Dec. 9th – 10 am to 4:30 pm. 

Color Me Happy Crafternoon – Join us at the studio for a crafternoon!  We love making things in community, so if you do too, come join us at the studio to knit, crochet, sew, hook, or just chat with other creative fiber folks! – Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio – 8100 Connerwood Lane, Fishers, IN 46308 – Dec. 10th – 1 to 4 pm.

White River Sound

The White River Sound Chorus will be singing for Nickel Plate Arts’ First Friday on Dec. 1st.  

Resounding Joy

Want to volunteer with us? Join us for caroling at the Christkindlmarkt in Carmel on Fridays this holiday season! Beginning on Friday, 11/24 and running through Friday, 12/15, we will have some fun caroling opportunities for our Joy Givers! Keep an eye out on our social media and in next month’s newsletter for more information! – Dec.1st, 12th & 15th – Times TBD.

The Belfry Theatre

The Belfry’s next production is “The Man Who Came to Dinner” at Noblesville First United Methodist Church.  “An acerbic theatre critic breaks his leg while on a lecture tour in the Midwest and is forced to stay a bit longer at the home of his host family, ultimately taking over the house with his demands and visiting Broadway luminary friends.” – Nov. 24th, 30th, and Dec. 1st at 7:30 p.m. & Nov. 25th, 26th, Dec. 2nd, and 3rd at 2:00 p.m.  The Belfry also announces auditions for “One Man, Two Guvnors” Dec. 2nd and 3rd, 6:30 p.m., at the Switch Theater in Fishers.  

Fishers Arts Council

Second Friday – Fishers Arts Council Presents: Emerging Artists- This free reception is open to the public. Meet these up & coming talented artists, enjoy their works, and partake of light refreshments and a cash wine bar. – FAC Hub Gallery at the Collaboration Hub 11810 Technology Dr., Fishers, IN 46038 – Dec. 8th – 6 to 8 pm.

Art Market at Sun King – Fishers Arts Council presents “Winter Art Markets” at Sun King at Fishers District, in conjunction with The Yard at Fishers District’s “Holiday Open Houses” featuring Santa, Hot Cocoa, Carolers and Crafts. All activities and events are FREE – save your money to spend at the Art Market! Located on the 2nd Floor of Sun King in Fishers, meet talented artists and artisans offering unique creations, perfect for gift giving – or even for yourself! There will be two Winter Art Markets available, each featuring different artists and artisans. – 9713 District N. Drive, Fishers, IN 46037 – Dec. 21st – 6 to 9 pm.

Gal’s Guide Library (107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville, IN 46060- Judge Stone House)

This Month’s Theme: 

LGBTQ+ Ally Meetup – Our intention for this meetup is for the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to have an open space for dialogue, and support. A place that protects, inspires, and empowers the young and all. Let’s work together to create an amazing meetup. – Dec. 2nd – 2 to 4pm.

Walking Club – The starting point for the walk is the front porch of Nickel Plate Arts, 107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville. Bring water, suntan lotion, and rain gear. The Gal’s Guide walking club is open to all fitness levels. – Dec. 9th –  9am. 

Film Club – Leah Leach is our resident movie geek. With a background of working in movie theaters, video stores, and 18 years behind the camera, she’s got a knack for picking an interesting movie to talk about. And we don’t care about the first rule of Fight Club, the first rule of Film Club is: You talk about Film Club. – Dec. 21st – 5:30 to 7pm.

Book Club – Katie Harris has a knack for picking a great book! A leader (and treasured unicorn) of Gal’s Guide Book Club Katie will handpick a book that fits into our research theme for the month. Selections might be fiction, they might be nonfiction. Because of our wide reach, we’re still looking at using Zoom to meet. We are a no-pressure book club, you don’t have to read the full book to participate. You do however have to sign up. – Dec. 28th – 8 to 9pm.

Deadline for 3rd Annual Anthology Dec. 31st! – 2024 THEME IS NOURISH Gal’s Guide seeks prose or poetry about nourishment. Does a certain food nourish you? What else is necessary for your growth? What helps sustain your health? What fosters a positive state of mind? What is a feeling or belief that you have cultivated that kept you going? Who or what is nourishing to you? Deadline is 12/31/23. Writers will grant rights to Gal’s Guide to the Galaxy from the time of acceptance to publication (approx. January 2024-March 2024). At the time of publication, all rights will revert back to the writer. To enter, go to the website for specific details of what documents need to be included.  Email any and all questions to anthology@galsguide.org.

Book Signing with Nan Reinhardt – Gal’s Guide is pleased to welcome back Nan Reinhardt for a Christmas-themed book signing! Nan’s newest book is Christmas in River’s Edge. This is not the only Christmas book Nan has to offer, she’ll also have for sale A Small Town Christmas, Christmas with You, and The Fireman’s Christmas Wish. All will be available on December 9 for a jolly signing. Makes great gifts too – Dec. 9th – 2 to 4 pm. 

Hamilton County Artists’ Association

November and December’s exhibit is entitled “Good Things Come in Small Packages”.
