Would you like a chance at a leadership role, the ability to shape the creative economy, and a fun volunteer opportunity? If so, you might be a perfect fit for our Board of Directors!
Board members are expected to:
- Attend 6 board meetings a year and our annual fundraising gala
- Contribute a personally-meaningful gift to the organization annually
- Advocate for the organization and the creative economy in general
- Provide financial oversight for the organization’s operations
- Participate on a committee, including a board committee or programming committee
- Volunteer for events or provide in-kind support to the organization’s operations
- Assist in other ways as your time and talents allow
Each year, we look to add 2-4 new members to our board. This year, we are especially interested in board members who:
- Have previous experience in fundraising or city planning
- Or have connections to the corporate community or elected officials
- Represent perspectives that are currently underrepresented by our board, staff, and membership
Our current committees are:
- Strategic Growth: Help us implement our strategic plan and evaluate our progress and effectiveness. Serve as a think-tank for big-picture ideas and opportunities.
- Corporate Engagement: Help the Executive Director connect with local and regional companies, Facilitate community connections and extend invitations to participate in our events and services.
- Program Planning: Help us plan, implement, and evaluate our key programs and services. Increase staff capacity through your unique expertise and/or volunteer to lead activities at one of our community events!
- Celebration Event: Help us plan and implement our annual fundraiser. This event needs leaders who are willing to do everything from plan parties to engage sponsors and donors.
