25 Apr Acting Intensive: The Grand Little Dinner Theatre
This is a theatre camp like no other! We will unfetter ourselves from the traditional studio paradigm as we transform the wondrously inspirational Artisan Acres Estate into a 12-acre teaching and rehearsal space! Young actors and actresses will study under Barcia Alejos, a highly esteemed director within the Indy theatre community. Mornings will be devoted to the Foundations of Acting class, where we will study such topics as stage and theatre etiquette, improvisation, character development, physicality, etc. A distinguished local puppeteer will teach a special guest workshop on puppet technique, in which students will interact with professional-tier puppets and set components (e.g. blacklight). Afternoons will be devoted to rehearsal for our Saturday evening Dinner Theatre* production.
Acting experience is not a requirement, but interest in acting is essential.
*Students may invite up to two guests to the Grand Little Dinner Theatre at no additional cost. A limited number of additional Dinner Theatre tickets will be available for purchase closer to the camp start date.
