25 Apr Budding Artists Camp
Students will make full use of Artisan Acres Estate in their projects. Students will be exposed to a variety of unique media (e.g. batik, silk printing, charcoal, etc.) and will incorporate natural elements from the property into their artwork (as both media and subject matter). Imagine your childs first exposure to printmaking involving trekking throughout the woods, field, and gardens, carefully harvesting both native and cultivated florals that catch their eye, and then incorporating those precious florals into a steamed paper or silk print. Daily experiences like this will continue to inspire their creations for a lifetime!
In the afternoons, the Budding Artists and Foundations of Drawing students will come together for their Exploratory Enrichment class in the air-conditioned Grand Little Barn or in shaded areas throughout the property. This allows students to gain exposure to a unique variety of art-aligned expressive media, whether culinary (e.g. lacto-fermentation), floral (e.g. arrangement), or physical (e.g. dance). This class will be taught by a rotating group of guest instructors.
At the conclusion of the two weeks, we will come together for a Gallery Reception in the Grand Little Barn, where family and friends are welcome to view our young artists creations as they enjoy refreshments on the beautiful property.
