Frontier Week

Frontier Week

Oct 21-22 – Frontier Week

This Harvest Festival: Frontier Week, you can also give others a taste of the frontier (canned beans, chili, corn, etc) with our “Let’s Can Hunger” Program. Simply bring 2 canned goods of your choice to donate, and in exchange, you will receive $10 admission.

Past the gates and into the corral, you’ll experience a snapshot of frontier life in the 1850s. Walk through history with demonstrations from our blacksmith, folk artist and wood carver, and other rustic vendors. See how the pioneers traversed this great country with our real Conestoga Wagon, and sample some of the foods they would have eaten at our Snack Barn.

Once the kids have learned about the pioneers, it’s time to see if they have what it takes to make it on the frontier. They can try their hand at cattle roping with our roping dummies and their marksmanship at our axe (foam) throwing stations. Over at our “Wanted” Sign photo booth and Stockades, everyone can experience the wilder side of pioneer life.

Now, vamoose, ya varmints and ya’ll come back now!
