Hero Training

Hero Training

Hero Training
4 to 5:30 p.m. August 14, 21, 28 | Maker Playground | Ages 8-12 | $140

Hero Training is fantasy-based education - rooted in mindfulness and open-ended play - that prepares adventurers for their hero’s journey. In other words, Hero Training is what happens when Dungeons & Dragons, woodworking, and a nature school all decide to go on an adventure together, and realize they are the best of friends.

In our first class together, participants will learn traditional woodcraft among other skills from an expert in play. We will be constructing a functional, customized, wooden sword and sheath that students will take home at the end of the class. In addition, students will be offered a quest/knighting ceremony at a secondary location tailored to outdoor open-ended play that will challenge them to utilize the skills they have acquired over our time together.

The Hero Training series runs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays August 14-28. All three sessions are included in the cost, and registration is required.

***Not sure if this program would suit your child? You can sign up for a Demo Day taking place on August 7 from 4-5:30 p.m.
