Meet Me on Main Plein Air Workshops
Gather together in the heart of the Art and Design District for a community paint event with The Art Lab during Meet Me on Main, Jazzfest (August) and Artmobila (September). Try out different media and join one or all of this summer’s painting series. All supplies are included. Registration is required, you will get more information about this event as it approaches. If a cancellation occurs due to severe weather or rain a full refund will be issued.

Timeframe:
5:00pm – 5:30pm: Meet and Greet with demonstration. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your event to find parking and the painting site. Introductions and painting demonstrations will begin promptly at 5:00pm.
5:30pm – 5:45pm: Plein Air easel set up and material distribution. Set up to paint within the designated area. Your instructor will rotate between participants to provide feedback as needed.
7:45pm – 8:00pm: Easel return and workshop end
Dates:
Saturday July 8th: Watercolor and Ink
Create with black ink pen and colorful watercolor illustrative images outside. This workshop includes two 9 x12” pieces of watercolor paper, Plein Air setup and materials or your 2 hour paint session.
Location: Anthony’s Plaza, corner of Monon Boulevard and Main Street
Cost: $45/ teen and adult
$25/ children age 12- 18 with participating adult
Saturday August 12th: Pencil and Acrylic
Create with colored pencil and acrylic on heavyweight mixed media paper. This workshop includes two 9 x 12” pieces of mixed media paper, Plein Air setup and materials or your 2 hour paint session.
Location: Sophia Square
Cost: $45/ teen and adult
$25/ children age 12- 18 with participating adult
Saturday September 9th: Water Soluble Oils
Create a one of a kind canvas with water soluble oils on a 9 x 12” canvas board. This workshop includes one canvas board, Plein Air setup and materials or your 2 hour paint session.
Location: Little Garden next to Indiana Artisan
Cost: $50/ teen and adult
$30/ children age 12- 18 with participating adult
