18 Jan Six Week Beginner’s Pottery Wheel Class
Did you know wheel throwing is one of the oldest crafts? Get your hands dirty the ancient way and join our beginner's wheel class. This is an hour and a half long class that teaches you to center, pierce, pull and generally get covered in mud. This class meets Thursdays beginning February 16th through March 23rd from 6-730.
Your class registration provides clay, wheel time, and a tool kit. It is suggested that you bring a small bucket (about 1 gallon) and wear clothes you can move well in and get dirty. This class will focus on wedging, centering and throwing a basic tumbler. If there is time in class your instructor will review attaching handles.
Anything you make in class will be bisque fired for free. Glaze firing is $.06/ cubic inch.
Tickets are non-refundable. We can issue a one-time class switch in case of emergency. This class is designed for adults. We will launch another kids' class shortly.
