Support the Indiana Flybrary Project

Flyrbaries are coming to Indiana! Local artist Jeff Pass is working hard on introducing installations throughout the state and is looking for help.

Jeff was driven by a passion to bring together Hoosiers through the shared love of fishing, conservation, and the arts, the Flybrary Project is a truly unique initiative. Inspired and guided by the great folks at Tailer Trash Fishing and their creation of the original Flybrary Project, our mission is to create public art pieces in accessible locations, inviting the community to “Take-A-Fly and Leave-A-Fly,” much like a communal pantry.

We are currently working on gaining approval from parks departments in Hamilton and Marion Counties, as well as the city of Zionsville. The Flybrary Project has already garnered support from numerous local conservation, arts, and other organizations, all contributing to making this vision a reality.

Our goal is to install Flybraries in public parks, constructed by local woodworkers, adorned by local artists and the community, and stocked by local fly makers and fishing guides. These communal hubs will feature the logos and information of all contributing groups, raising awareness of local efforts and resources.

Upon completion, each Flybrary location will be listed on the national registry. Known to attract travelers who go upwards of 30 minutes out of their way to visit and capture photos for social media, these installations can significantly boost local business.

By making each Flybrary a permanent art installation, we aim to encourage people to explore the parks and highlight the incredible efforts of the individuals and organizations making a positive impact in our area.
