We’ve decided to post all of our artist opportunities in one spot to make it easier for our network of creatives. Read on for call-outs and more!

Artists’ Garage Sale!

Here’s your chance to de-stash some of your no-longer-needed art supplies! Artists of all backgrounds are invited to participate in our Artists’ Garage Sale, happening Saturday, November 11th from 10am – 5pm in conjunction with our county-wide studio tour. Canvases, frames, papers, paints, brushes, easels, and more will be available to savvy shoppers for purchase throughout the day. TALENT CALL! Calling All Artists of the Performance Kind!

We are in search of great, good, fabulous, unique, unusual, mind-blowing talent. Musicians, magicians, mimes, animal tricks, sawing a woman in half, Moon River on a saw, etc. Why? We’re hosting a mini talent show in honor of artist Carol Griffith’s birthday during our First Friday celebration in November! Acts should be 3 minutes long, and prizes will be given for extra special performances. We are expecting a raucous evening of old-time fun!

Job Opportunity: Ignite Studio Manager Position

Hamilton East Public Library seeks an energetic, creative, people-person to manage Ignite Studio at HEPL, the unique makerspace housed in the Fishers Library.  This is a full-time, salaried position with supervisory responsibilities that requires someone comfortable overseeing art projects, creative technology, and community partners.  Starting salary for this position is $48,000-$55,000 per year.

Region 7 IAC Grant Opportunities Information Sessions

Indiana Arts Commission Region 7 Partner, Butler University, will be presenting Information Sessions about the current grant opportunities for nonprofit organizations and artists in Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, & Shelby Counties.

Each session will include descriptions of the available grant programs, their eligibility requirements and their respective evaluation criteria. An introduction to the online application process will also be included. For more information, see our posting.

HCAA’s Open Lens Exhibit

Presented by our partner, the Hamilton County Artists’ Association, this call-out  and exhibit is open to all amateur and professional photographers. For the first time, this popular exhibit will be judged and prizes awarded in several categories. Entry forms are due on Friday, October 27th. All are invited to a First Friday reception at HCAA’s Birdie Gallery on Friday, November 3rd from 6-9pm. An artists’ reception and award ceremony will take place on December 1st from 6-8:30pm. The Open Lens Photography Exhibit will display from November 2nd through December 1st. For more information and an application, visit the HCAA website: hcaa-in.org

Auditions: Steel Magnolia with Tipton Community Theater

Tipton Community Theater will be holding open auditions for their upcoming production, “Steel Magnolias”. See performance times, audition dates and times, character descriptions, and notes below.

Performance dates and times are Friday and Saturday nights, January 26 and 27, 2018, 7:30 PM, and Sunday afternoon, January 28, 2018, 2:00 PM, THS Auditorium.

Public Art Opportunity: Mural in Fishers

The City of Fishers, Fishers Arts Council, and the owner of the building located at 8760 E. 116th Street are seeking qualified artists interested in a commission for a building mural or other form of creative medium representing the city’s vision of a smart, entrepreneurial, and vibrant community on the highly visible façade of a single-story structure in the Noblesville Creates district.
