Artist Callout: Art in Bloom: A Peony Art Exhibit

The City of Noblesville and Noblesville Creates are partnering to present a peony-themed exhibit in City Hall in May, 2022. The program will showcase peony-related artwork by local artists in the Hamilton County region in conjunction with the Indiana Peony Festival, scheduled for May 21 ,2022.

The gallery space in City Hall has exhibit work by local artists for over a decade and is a high-traffic spot that brings visibility to local talent, while celebrating Noblesville’s artistic heritage.  

Up to 40 pieces will be selected for this exhibit, depending on size, shape and connection to the theme. Artwork will be installed May 2, 2022 and displayed through May 27th.  Artwork must be picked up on May 31st between 2 pm and 5 pm. All mediums of art are welcome. The name of the artist, the title of the artwork, and price will be displayed on a label with each piece of art, and information about how to purchase the work will be included in the exhibit.

If interested, please send an email with no more than three digital images of artwork to be considered. Artists must include the title, medium, size (when framed) and price for each piece and their contact information. Please attach images of the artwork to the email as a PDF or JPEG file.  All artwork must be framed or gallery-wrapped and ready to hang: artwork must have a hasp at least 3 inches wide on the back to be able to hang in the gallery space: any artwork that does not meet these requirements at the time of drop-off may be rejected. All artists must be 15 years or older and an Indiana resident or student. Preference will go to Noblesville artists 

Deadline for submission is noon on Friday, April 1stPlease submit all required information and images to Aaron Head by email to ahead@noblesville.in.us. Artists will be contacted by Friday, April 15th if their artwork has been accepted for the Peony Art Exhibit.

By submitting these images artists are permitting the City of Noblesville and Noblesville Creates use their artwork to promote the exhibit and/or activities related to the Peony festival this year and in the future. Artwork will not be duplicated or utilized for any purpose other than promotion.
