“Valentine’s Day for All” events, Temptation exhibit, First Friday and more happenings to fall in love with
NOBLESVILLE, IND. — This February, unplug and create with Noblesville Creates in hipstoric Downtown Noblesville.
VALENTINE’S DAY FOR ALL:
Date Nights, Feb. 10, 11 and 14; 6-9 p.m.
Make Noblesville Creates the most creative stop on your Valentine’s Day agenda. Stay all night, or come by before or after your romantic downtown Noblesville plans during one of three fun nights: Feb. 10, 11 and 14.
Attendees — couples, friends and groups — can take part in artist-led art projects, enjoy live performances, and sip a glass of wine or beer from the bar (available for purchase). Plus, enjoy February’s Temptation exhibit inside the Judge Stone House gallery. Admission costs $10 for one activity for two people, or spend $50 to get all six activities for two people. Family Valentine’s Day: Feb. 11, 12-5 p.m.
There’s no sweeter way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with your family. Bring the kiddos to Noblesville Creates for children’s activities, crafts ($5 each) and sweet treats. Our hands-on Valentine’s Day crafts are inspired by our Date Night activities and include painting, mixed-media, picture frames and more! Admission is free throughout the day. Come and go as you please.
FIRST FRIDAY:
Feb. 3, 6-9 p.m.
Unwind during First Friday at Noblesville Creates. With a nod to Valentine’s Day, on Feb. 3 you can try your hand at painting during a collaborative hands-on activity entitled “Seven Shades of Red,” hosted by NPArts Studio Artist Lesley Haflich. Local musician Jennifer Midkiff will provide harp music to serenade guests throughout the evening! Plus, get a first look at the Temptation exhibit inside the Judge Stone House gallery. Admission is always free.
Make your evening even more special by getting in on downtown Noblesville’s romantic promotion for two: dinner, dessert, childcare and an art activity including a stop at Noblesville Creates for a special project led by NPArts Studio Artist Eric O’Dell. EMERGING ARTISTS EXHIBIT:
Temptation, Feb. 3-24
Get-rich-quick schemes. Someone else’s sweetheart. Power. What does temptation look like? Find out during Temptation, February’s Judge Stone House gallery exhibit at Noblesville Creates, Feb. 3-24, 2017.
This enticing exhibit puts a spin on typical Valentine’s Day celebrations and will feature the work of Emerging Artists in various media exploring the theme. Temptation debuts during our First Friday artists’ reception on Friday, Feb. 3, 6-9 p.m., and will remain up for viewing during normal gallery hours through Feb. 24. Most of the featured art will be available for sale. Admission is free.
ARTIST SHOWCASE:
Pottery Exhibit Featuring Kris Gruppe, Debby Bauman and Darlene Patterson
Local potters Kris Gruppe, Debby Bauman and Darlene Patterson are coming together to celebrate their love for ceramics and nature. Many of the artists’ pieces will be available for sale. The exhibit is open to the public during regular business hours, February 1-28; free admission.
ADULT ART CLASS:
Acrylic Painting 101: Feb. 15-March 22, Wednesdays, 7-9 p.m.
NPArts Studio Artist Lesley Haflich guides participants through the basics of acrylic painting, including usage of tools, composition, color theory and more. Students ages 15 and older will explore a variety of subject matter including landscape and still life painting. This class is perfect for beginners or intermediate-level artists who seek additional guidance, helpful tips and friendly feedback in a laidback atmosphere. Noblesville Creates provides materials, but participants may also bring their own supplies. Students must be age 15 or older.

Spring Break Camp at Noblesville Creates will operate like an open studio for little artists, inviting kids to explore, play and create one-of-a-kind artwork. On March 27-31 and April 3-7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., kids ages 4 and older can dabble in a variety of 2-D and 3-D projects and experiment with different art mediums with assistance from staff and volunteers.
