Looking Glass Pottery Studio

8 Week Beginning Wheelthrowing – The purpose of our 8-week wheel-throwing classes is to allow new and experienced potters the chance to work in clay under instructor guidance. Each session will offer a slightly different curriculum to keep things fresh for recurring students.  Please note that there are some physical requirements with pottery wheels, but no experience in clay required for many of our courses! – Starts on June 10th, 12th, 13th, 15th – Various Times.

Caravan Classes

Homeschool Art- Wednesdays 2pm & Fridays 11am – Homeschool Art classes are designed for ages 6-12 and incorporate art history, drawing, and exposure to a variety of mediums. Additional group or co-op times are also available. Contact us to specifically schedule a session. 

After School Art – Wednesdays 4:30pm – This class is designed for ages 6-12. Students will learn a variety of techniques using different mediums, completing a project most class days. Drawing and Art History is also incorporated into the lessons of this class.

Teen Art – Wednesdays 5:30pm – This class explores a variety of mediums and focuses on building a sketchbook of work. Artists work progressively on their choice of assignments from a list along with setting their own goals and building a body of work.

Classic Academy Art – Fridays 11:00am – We will cover a variety of art concepts and cover drawing techniques and mediums.

Learn to Crochet Flying Pocket Disc – In this beginner level class you will learn to crochet a flying pocket disk. This class is for ages 12- adult. No experience necessary, but if you have experience you are welcome too! – June 2nd & 12th – Various Times.

Paint Your Pet – Send us a photo via email. Paint your pet on a 12×12 canvas. – June 8th – 1:00pm.

Crochet an Octopus – This beginner to Intermediate level class is taught by Anne Turk of Anne Made Crochet and is designed for ages 12-adult. Make this very cute octopus and step into the world of making crocheted creatures. – June 6th & 9th – Various Times

Hyperion Players 

Performances of local playwright Brad Skaggs’ “I Love My Zombie” – In 1952, the television show ‘I Love My Wife’ is the most watched show on the new medium and star June Burns is the most beloved personality alive. There’s only one problem: June’s husband, on the show and in real life, has turned into a stage one Zombie along with other men around the country who fought in WWII. Can the show survive the change or will the growing anti-Zombie movement force them off the air? ‘I Love My Zombie’ is a Zom-Com filled with mystery, back-stabbing, and the comedic truth about the way we see each other. – June 6th-9th – Arts for Lawrence’s Theater at the Fort in Lawrence.

Fishers Arts Council

Second Friday – Fishers Arts Council Presents: “The Golden Age – Artists 50 and Better”. Reception at the Collaboration Hub at Hamilton County Community Foundation on Friday, June 14th from 6-8p. This free reception is open to the public and all ages are welcome. Meet the artists, enjoy their works, and partake of light refreshments and a cash wine bar. 

Fishers Arts Council: Spark! Fishers Car + Art Show – Come for the classic and muscle cars – stay for the local art vendors!  Artist vendors for 2024 will be announced in May This is a FREE event to attend and guest registration is NOT required.  Artists can apply by clicking here.  Artists and Artisans are managed by Fishers Arts Council.  Car owners can apply on Fishers Arts Council’s website. Car entries are managed by Fishers Parks. – June 27th 6 to 9pm.

5th Annual Juneteenth Jubilee to be held at Conner Prairie on June 19, 2024 from 5-8pm. This is a free community event with kids activities, live music, food trucks, educational materials, and vendor booths featuring Black owned businesses and artists

Color Me Happy Fiber Arts Studio

Open Studio- Join us to stitch a bit (all fiber arts welcome!), shop, or just see what’s in the garden and in the dyepots.  We are also hosting a knit along for those of you wanting to try to venture into lace knitting with our Gossamer lace – bring your project! – June 9th & 23rd – Open Times.

LGBTQ+ Ally Meetup – Our intention for this meetup is for the members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies to have an open space for dialogue, and support. A place that protects, inspires, and empowers the young and all. Let’s work together to create an amazing meetup. – June 1st – 2 to 4pm.

Walking Club – The starting point for the walk is the front porch of Nickel Plate Arts, 107 S. 8th Street, Noblesville. Bring water, suntan lotion, and rain gear. The Gal’s Guide walking club is open to all fitness levels. – June 8th –  9am. 

Film Club – Leah Leach is our resident movie geek. With a background of working in movie theaters, video stores, and 18 years behind the camera, she’s got a knack for picking an interesting movie to talk about. And we don’t care about the first rule of Fight Club, the first rule of Film Club is: You talk about Film Club. – June 20th – 5:30 to 7pm.

Book Club – Katie Harris has a knack for picking a great book! A leader (and treasured unicorn) of Gal’s Guide Book Club Katie will handpick a book that fits into our research theme for the month. Selections might be fiction, they might be nonfiction. Because of our wide reach, we’re still looking at using Zoom to meet. We are a no-pressure book club, you don’t have to read the full book to participate. You do however have to sign up. – June 27th – 8 to 9pm.

Buddha Friends – A fun and joyful meetup that holds space open to check in with each other, connect with how Buddhism is arising in us, share dharma discussions, and drop into a mindful meditation together. We offer prayer requests, Buddhist holiday gatherings, book lending, and birthday celebrations. Plus we have “Om” Nom Noms which are usually cookies. – Saturdays- 11am to 12:30pm. 

Special Passport Night – Now you can earn free stuff for learning about women of history from Gal’s Guide Library.  Travel” with Gal’s Guide as we explore women’s history in 11 regions of the world through podcasts, books, film, and more! “Travel” with us and earn passport stickers for Gal’s Guide merch, books, and special stuff.Purchase online or at the Gal’s Guide Library. Hamilton County Artists’ Association

Brave Brush Painting with Confidence & Joy – The focus of this 3-day workshop is to develop a strategic game plan for creating successful and beautiful paintings. We’ll discuss fundamental concepts such as composition, value, and color mixing. – June 20th-22nd – 9:00am to 4pm.

Summer Kids Arts Camp – The Hamilton County Artists’ Association is excited to offer another week of art instruction and inspiration to area children entering 1st through 8th grade at its annual Kids Art Camp. During this four-day event (June 10th-13th), participants will be encouraged to experiment with different forms of creativity while they also learn about the history of the artists and various art forms. Members of the HCAA Juried Artists will be available to help instruct and encourage the children as they create projects to take home and enjoy. You may sign up for either the morning or afternoon session. Cost is $45 per child. Please click below to register. Workshops of G. B. Davis

Introduction to Bookarts in Noblesville – In this hands-on workshop, students will learn to fold, sew, and paste to build five varied and interesting bookforms including: pamphlets, two variations of star books, accordion books, Japanese stab bindings and a simple codex. We will also explore several additions and variations to make these books more interesting and useful. Students should gain enough experience and knowledge to confidently explore book design and building to create unique and interesting gifts, journals, or to publish their own work. – 6 Tuesdays starting June 18th – 6:30 to 8:30pm.

Signs & Gameboard Painting Workshop – Ever wanted to create your own vintage-inspired signs and gameboards? This immersive, two-day workshop will transport you to a bygone era, teaching you the techniques used to craft those charmingly aged pieces we all admire. – June 22nd & 23rd – 9:00am to 4:30pm.

Leathercraft in Noblesville – Ever admired the rich patina of a handcrafted leather journal or the sturdy elegance of a well-made pair of suspenders? Now’s your chance to step into the world of leathercraft and create your own beautiful, functional pieces in this immersive two-day workshop. – June 29th & 30th – 9:30am to 4:00pm.

Four Week Wheel – Did you know wheel throwing is one of the oldest crafts? Get your hands dirty the ancient way and join our four-week wheel class. This is an hour and a half long class that expands your clay knowledge. This class meets Tuesdays OR Thursdays at 500 in May, or Wednesdays in June at 5, and Fridays in June at 4. – June 5th & 7th – 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Hello Kitty Night – Step into the world of Sanrio with us as we paint Hello Kitty themed pottery pieces! We’ll enjoy whisker-licking Japanese treats while we paint our Sanrio buddy. Costumes, stuffies and painters alike are welcome at our party. – June 7th & 21st – 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Crime and Crafting – We are hosting a true crime event you won’t want to miss. Join us to craft a perfect alibi and paint a fun piece! WE HAVE NEW SILKSCREENS TO HELP YOU!! Put “I’m only here to establish an alibi!” on your wine glass with no trouble! – June 14th – 6:00 to 8:00pm

Emo Night – This event is for all the lil emo babies. We’ll paint chiefly with black, matte white and red. We’ll listen to My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, and Weezer. We’ll just wonder at how nihilism influences music. JK we won’t get that deep, but this is a great night to enjoy other emo babies. Whether you’re an elder millennial who grew up on alt rock or a gen z who’s just discovering the beauty of Brand Urie, you are welcome.  – June 8th – 6:00 to 8:00pm.

Couples’ Wheel Class – Always wanted to recreate that scene from Ghost?  We’ve got you covered!  We’re having a couples’ clay class for a great couples’ price. For $85, you are your partner, friend, or that special someone you’ve always wanted to take a class with can come in a get messy in the clay with us! Our instructor will walk you through throwing on the wheel. Create a small bowl in this beginner’s class. Or not because clay is difficult. Either way, you’ll have fun! – June 9th, 6th, 23rd, 29th, & 30th – 3:00 to 5:00pm.

Picasso Your Partner – Paint your partner picasso style! We’ll walk you through the process of gazing at your fair partner, turning them into a Picasso style masterpiece and putting all of your genius on a pottery piece. Choose any piece in the store to Picasso-fy. You can bring a picture of your beloved or bring them to drool over all night, whatever works. – June 15th – 6:00 to 8:00pm.

High Art – Choose your cheesecake, choose your piece and vibe! We are sourcing our cheesecakes from Hazeables! Hazeables is an amazing bakery in downtown Indy that serves traditional pastries, Mexican favorites, and of course, CBD infused treats. Choose from their two favorite flavors, Smores and Strawberry. These are mini cheesecakes and will have 25 mg of Delta 9 CBD. Pay for what you paint the night of. We will have some choice pieces featuring our favorite flower. – June 21st – 6:00 to 8:00pm.

K-Pop – K-Pop fans get ready for an ultimate night of pottery and music and our K-Pop Night! Whether you’re an Army, Blink, MOA or Carat, this is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow fans, trade photocards and talk about your ults! – June 22nd – 6:00 to 8:00pm.
