05 May Share Your Stories – Westfield & Washington Township
Join us on Saturday May 9th 2026 from 10 am to 2 PM for an USA 250 inspired event in collaboration with the Hamilton County Historical Society (and Westfield Preservation Alliance.
Come to 130 Penn Street, the Assembly Room of the City Hall in the old Methodist Church to check in with us for one or two activities! You can either book your time slots ahead of time in advance or walk in.
Oral History Interviews:
People can give an oral history interview to tell us about your or your relatives' time in Westfield and Washington Township. Tell us how it was growing up, going to school, work, church, etc. Talk either freely, but no worries if you get stuck we have a list of questions we can use to stimulate your memories. Anything is important - all details can be valuable for some to get an idea how life used to be.
Scan-A-Thon - Digitize your memories:
Bring your historic pictures (really anything 20 years and older) or documents and we will scan them for you while you wait. We can then either return the originals to you, or keep them to add to our collection if you like. Either way the digital version will be added to our collection and you can have a digital copy as well. An added bonus would be if you or a relative knows any people or locations on those pictures that could be identified. Makes the item so much more relevant.
